2D Volumes is a series of parametric line drawings that investigates the creation of a three dimensional space in a two dimensional plane. The concept of the drawings came from the observation of the different suspended forms and figures within glass marbles. The drawings are created using grasshopper, then optimized for different configurations using Galapagos evolutionary solver. By setting particular genes and variables, thousands of different versions are created within minutes based on an idealized parameter.
